The extensive Rosegg Animal Park around the old castle ruins is home to more than 300 wild and domestic animals, including bison, kangaroos, mountain monkeys, ibex, lynx, rare species of deer and white-tailed deer.
All visitors have the opportunity to feed the pets living in the park with special food. Walking through the park itself is also full of adventure, as some animals like peacocks, deer, and ibex roam freely here.
A special highlight is the petting zoo located next to the large children's playground, where children can admire ponies, miniature donkeys, miniature goats, rabbits and other small animals.
Next up is the Rosegg Garden Labyrinth, located between Rosegg Castle and Rosegg Animal Park.
The hedge is impressively made of more than 3,000 hornbeams and is about a kilometer long.

An ideal place for an easy, idyllic hike that will last about an hour. Katreinkögel is a 772 m high mountain and stands out along the western bay of Lake Wörthersee with its peculiar shape.
There is an old Catholic church on the hill with great views of the surrounding area, and near the church there is a small museum of archaeological excavations from the Neolithic and Bronze Age.
But its main highlight is Austria's only wishing tree at the top of the hill.
There, anyone who has measured the way to that point can write their wishes, dreams or something else on small wooden plates and hang them on the tree (it is recommended to prepare the wooden plate and rope in advance).

Rauschelesee and Magic Forest
